Background of Mahadebpur upazila

Naogaon was once notable as one of the great subdivisions of Rajshahi district. As part of the Naogaon sub-division, Mahadebpur Police Station was under Dinajpur district until 1897. After 1882 AD, Naogaon Mahakumara was formed in 1898 AD after the birth of Naogaon Mahakumara from Mahadevpur Dinajpur district. Since then, Mahadebpur has earned recognition as the noteworthy of the Naogaon subdivision. In 1984, he was promoted as a Thana and later became a member of the upazila.
